FLOMO’s 40 foot wide tent
at the park grounds will give away free, exclusive FLOMO®/Girl Scouts drawstring bags to the first 15,000
ticket purchasers. Everyone attending the event who comes by the FLOMO® tent will also receive free wall calendars,
collector’s anniversary stickers, and special edition ECO Erasers with Girl
Scouts logo and “Eco Girl” featured on the packaging and wrapping of the
eraser. Other activities at the tent include super low factory-direct prices on
FLOMO® items in their pop-up store, a photo op with an
Eco Eraser girl cutout, and an Eraser-Recycling Game.
The FLOMO® Company likes to be involved in helping the community
and their sponsorships as much as possible. This is why over 50 of their
employees and their friends and family are joining to volunteer and manage the
FLOMO® tent and its activities throughout the whole
day. “As a corporation, it’s very important that we have this corporate social
responsibility. It’s important for us to give,” says Wendy Shen, FLOMO®/Nygala Corp. CEO and lifetime girl scout.
FLOMO’s retail customers
were also given an opportunity to help FLOMO® in their
sponsorship for this centennial celebration. All participating stores will be
featured in a tri-state area commercial scheduled to broadcast May-June 2012
across several cable networks. The commercial promotes FLOMO’s support of the GirlScouts anniversary and will feature a list of local stores where consumers can
shop to show their support.
Tickets are on sale
nationwide for The "Believe In Girls" (B.I.G.) Celebration, a
day-long event featuring Grammy nominated artist and celebrity judge on the hit
show "The Sing Off," Sara Bareilles, pop star Joe Jonas of The Jonas
Brothers band, and "The X Factor" finalist, Rachel Crow. The event
will take place on June 23, 2012, starting at 1 p.m. at Liberty State Park in
Jersey City, N.J. and will also include daytime music performances, a fireworksdisplay, and 100 activities. The B.I.G. Celebration is presented by the Girl
Scout Councils of New Jersey.
Tickets are available online at www.girlscouts100nj.org . The daylong
event will include 100 activities taking place at the historic and scenic
Liberty State Park, which features 1,122 acres of open space and panoramic
views of The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the New York Harbor.
